What is the CI?
> The DVB took the PC specification, that was called PCMCIA (now PC-CARD) and adapted it to allow the DVB transport stream to be routed into the interface and out again.
> A Conditional Access Module (CAM) is then supplied in conjunction with various broadcasters. This module has the capability to decode encrypted programming material. When a broadcaster subscription card is purchased and plugged into the module the programming material can be decoded.
